About Us
The Jeunes
We are Madison and Carleric Jeune and we started Lakay Kafe in November 2022. Carleric grew up in Jeremie, Haiti and Madison grew up in Washington state. After falling in love we decided to create something for the community we both also love. Madison has a baking and education background and Carleric ran many community activities for kids, such as basketball trainings. We wanted to do something that would bring all of our passions together and decided on a coffee house ministry. The goal being that anyone, including kids, would feel welcome to come into a safe space and enjoy community and fellowship over a cup of coffee or a piece of banana bread.
We have a beautiful baby girl who joined our crew spring 2024 as well.
We love Haiti and love the people of Haiti and believe God has not forgotten them. So, we continue to walk in faith and keep our doors open for whatever God has coming our way!
